Switch
Tracks the position of a switch your teams flip from a phone or from the interface, without anyone opening the plan editor.

How it works
On every call, the platform reads the position of the switch designated in the Switch field, for your installation. A position read exactly as active takes the active output. Everything else takes inactive: the inactive position, of course, but also a switch nobody has ever flipped, whose state therefore doesn't exist yet.
The call then follows the link connected to that output. If that output isn't connected to anything, the call is hung up on the spot, with no announcement. Both outputs must therefore be connected, including the one you think will never be used.
The position is changed outside the editor, from a phone key configured as Switch or from the Modules, Switches list. This change takes effect on the next call, without needing to apply anything.

Step by step
- First create the switch in Modules, Switches, with a name that says what it decides, for example "Evening on-call."
- In the plan editor, place the Switch module and connect the previous node to its input.
- Open it and designate your switch in the Switch field.
- Connect the
activeoutput to the journey for the active position. - Connect the
inactiveoutput to the other journey. Both must be connected. - Hand control to your teams: a phone key configured as Switch, or the Modules, Switches list.
- Click Apply changes.
- Call the number in question, flip the switch, call back, and check that the journey has changed.
If it doesn't work
All calls go to inactive. The position read isn't the active position. A switch nobody has flipped yet has no state and counts as inactive. Check its position in Modules, Switches, and while you're there check that it's really the one the module designates: two switches with similar names are easily confused.
The call is hung up as it passes through the module. One of the two outputs isn't connected to anything, or no switch is designated in the Switch field. Connect active and inactive, and reopen the module to check its setting.
Flipping the switch doesn't change the call. The position is read again on every call; it doesn't require clicking Apply changes. A change to the plan itself, on the other hand, does require it: until it's applied, calls follow the previous version.
The Switch field's list is empty. No switch exists yet in your installation. Create one in Modules, Switches, then reopen the module.
