Axivox/Virtual number
Virtual number

The number is no longer tied to a line

A virtual number isn't wired to any socket in a wall. It points to whatever you decide, an extension, a greeting, a queue or a mobile, and that destination changes in two clicks. That's what lets a Madrid number ring in Brussels.

What it is

A number, and a destination you decide

The number fixes where your customers call you. Your team, meanwhile, stays where it is. Ten numbers can land on the same greeting, or each on its own.

  • Extension, dial plan, voicemail, conference or mobile
  • The destination changes with no intervention from us
  • The same number follows an office move

Five types

The type changes what your caller pays

Not every type exists in every country: the catalogue shows what's available, country by country.

Number typeWhat it's for
LandlineThe geographic number of a city or region. It's what you'd expect from a business established somewhere.
MobileA number from the country's mobile range. In some countries, it's the only one an individual dials without hesitating.
NationalValid across the whole country, with no city code. Useful when you don't want to be tied to an address.
Shared costThe call is billed to your caller at a reduced rate, the rest is on you.
Toll-free numberOften called an 0800: your caller pays nothing, the call is on you.
Ordering

Four steps, with the documents announced upfront

You choose the country and the zone

The list shows, for each country, how many zones are available. The more there are, the closer you get to a specific city.

You check the documents required

Some zones require proof of identity, a local address or an ID document. The interface tells you before you order, not after.

The file is approved

When documents are required, the number only goes live once the file is accepted. The status of the request stays visible in your interface.

You connect the number

You choose its destination, and change it afterwards as many times as you need.

Ordering a number: the country, then the zone, then the number.

In the interface

The catalogue, the order, the tracking

You choose, you order, you track the status of the request up to activation, in the same place.

  • 65 countries are loaded in the interface, ready to order
  • For other countries in our coverage, ask us
  • Every order is checked before it's sent out
What it makes possible

Two uses, and your current numbers

Test a market without opening an office there

Your prospects call a number from home, at home rates. If the market doesn't work out, you hand the number back without having signed a lease or hired locally. The full coverage gives the country-by-country detail.

One number per campaign, one greeting

Several numbers can point to the same dial plan. You open a market or a campaign without rewriting your greeting, and the call list then tells you which one is bringing in what.

And the numbers you already have

They aren't replaced, they're ported. The procedure depends on each country's regulator, and we build the file with you.

Porting, step by step, and what gets a file rejected.
